If MS43 works in INPA, that is what you have. The one that works for me on INPA select screen is ms43 I believe.
How can I make sure.
Don't wanna flash wrong ecu family.
Ok, realoem.com shows 11/2002 production date. So yeah, it is MS43.Hey. The vin is wbabn53443ph03411. I also figured out setting the mirror light.
Thanxs for your help and everyone elses.
Should I put a charger on batt when I flash?
An 11/2002 330Ci should have the ZF auto trans, which uses the GS8.60.4 EGS module. What would the transmission module be?
FYI, see your VIN decode and options list here. The vin is wbabn53443ph03411.
One important step that usually avoids this is to turn the ignition key off for like 5 seconds after completing flashing with WinKFP. The other CAN bus modules freak out when the module being flashed doesn’t respond. After all the key is on during flashing. Cycling the key resets their power. Also, you must clear trouble codes in each of the CAN bus modules. In your case the EGS tripped an error that needed to be cleared. The engine started fine but I got a '!' in a circled gear in the instrument cluster. I look at errors in INPA and it was showing Nack.
I edited my post to say turn the key off, but I usually just remove it.I did not completely remove the key, but I did turn the car off, no luck!
I was starting to get alittle concerned before I did hard reset.
