hey guys i was wondering if ne1 has gotten their e46m3 engine replaced by bmw b/c of bad engine? i want a new engine haha i was wondering if bmw would replace and engine that revs up and down when u start it and the rpm jump up n down too.. ne1 have ne thing close to this experience? tahnkx

lots of people have gotten their motor replaced because early S54 motor problems.

It sounds like you are having some sort of sensor/software problem. Take it to the dealer.

i had mine replaced

i had mine replaced because of an oil sump/pump problem that was causing my engine to ping. sf bmw did a helluva job putting it in and it was pretty quick too.

i don't think you need a new engine

i just think you should bring car into dealer and have them look at it . and if you are lucky just may need a adjustment or just a new part or two.
