Hello,

I've used WinKFP to match the DME's vin number with my ABS module.
However, by doing that, the EWS got activated and the engine doesn't want to start.

November 2020, I did an engine swap with which I didn't receive the EWS.

When the WinKFP process has completed, I used INPA to check for errors, I had an EWS error.
So I think, with the new update, the EWS is now turned ON again.

Is there a way to modify the BIN file to turn off the EWS ?
I would also like to turn off the "automatic gearbox" module from the DME.

P.S The engine works fine when the DME's EWS is OFF. It starts correctly.

I assume its still on Ms42 for the DME after your swap, MS4x Wiki have the tools required to disable EWS on Ms42 and 43 when its done you do not need the Ews module at all.

As for the Automatic Box you can recode the clusters IKE module easily using PAsoft, other wise you will have to delv into the running order of the vehicle via NCSexpert. search google 50skid Manual Swap and look for his Coding videos..

No, for the automatic box, there's some error which appears on OBD.. incorrect gear ratio 1,2,3,4,5 etc.. i've done a manual swap as well.. That's why I want to disable the automatic stuff.

Have you tried syncing the ews with inpa? I would assume you would have to do that if you have changed the vin on the unit, also alternatively like above follow the wiki on patching the bin with an ews bypass.

Yeah i tried it.
When I reset it, it says "ews and dme doesn't match"
I try to store, it says ews already contains value.

Did you disconnect the TCU .. you should get the cog of death on the cluster.

this is a bit high level for me
