Hey!
So I have this 316i sedan that I'm trying to get running for winter time, and found that the intake rubber boot is cracked which is probably my cause for P0171 (System Too Lean)
I'm going to order a new one but I was wondering if anyone know if you can get it without the "resonator"? My understanding is that the resonator just reduces intake noise, which I don't really care about, and it would save some space to not have it. I noticed you can order a new boot without the resonator, but they all still have the little "pipe" where it's supposed to plug in to.
Can I just get one of those and try to plug it up somehow, and not use the resonator? Or would that be a bad idea?
