Where did you pick this up? There is a kit in my future, but not quite yet. Trying to find the best one to get.Grabbed some pics of the bushing press kit I have. Again, well worth picking one up if you plan on doing rear suspension work. Ball bearing thrust washers and centering on all the cups makes for smooth operation.![]()

The sub-frame is the one place I'd definitely retain rubber bushings unless the car is a race car or truly dedicated track car. The reason is, rubber will absorb movement of the sub-frame, reducing the levering of the mounting studs. Urethane will immediately transfer any movement at all of the sub-frame into stress on the mounting studs.I just don't want to buy 6 different tools to do all my bushings. The one you posted looks like it got everything to do a refresh. I would too go with an urethane bushings on the diff with all the stress it goes through

I concur! Looks really good.Looks close to perfect.
The new Bimmers make Chris Bangle look like a genius.I love the E30 M3 but omg- that 440 is something else! Looks like Cris Bangle got his job [email protected]$#
If you reference my headliner thread, I used a plastic thin screen mesh as back-up to my tab repair. Stronger than the original plastic. I recommend it.Woot for slightly damaged return parts! This came back to the parts department and it was going to get tossed, but instead it's coming home with me! I should have no issue repairing the damaged tab. Interesting thing is as they come they apparently don't go straight in and come with 2 different templates for trimming the rear edge depending on model. Very interesting. Now I'm going need to replace the res of the bits, though, as they will all look shabby in comparison!![]()

I'm strongly thinking about something that goes... shhhhhhhh......I should probably be spending my stimulus money on clutch parts but it's going to a pistol instead.
OMG, I'm wanting to put up a shed and an outbuilding. Looks like the outbuilding can wait. Thanks and congrats on the DIY service! My dad got some 2x4s the other day and they were almost $7/ea!

You're 91k behind me.Ordered what I think is the last round of parts, less fluids, for the swap today.
Also did this:![]()

TeaseWhen they make it on the car, there will be pics. I didn't want to dig into the suspension until I had these ready to go on. Now I'm ready, and it shouldn't take too long to swap out the springs/shocks/struts. This coming weekend is pretty busy, so I may not get it done until the following weekend. I'd like to try to get my daughter involved, if she's interested.
Yeah, my next suggestion was going to be suspension bushings. Something that allows good alignment while static, yet allows too many degrees of freedom while moving.Since doing my RTABs I've been seeing much improved inner tire wear.
