I just flashed MS430069 and for some reason, my AT shifts are completely different. 1-2 and 2-3 are absolutely crisp. I wonder what that's all about.

Just seen this. ms43b30. yeah sure i flashed right file. car ran fine just fuel trims worried me.
 
Hey all, I've posted in another thread, but here's a cross-post hoping for as much help as possible:

I have an m54B30, ms43 on the version ending in 69 (latest). Stock intake until I can fabricate a proper CAI; Catless headers with an m3 exhaust with a muffler that doesn't do much. SAP deleted.

I've worked through the ms4x wiki & community patchlist, and have the XDF for the whole PCM editing. I have launch control enabled, factory settings. I have NLS disabled -- I don't mind turning it on, but meh.

I'm trying to get flames with shifts, and high rpm events in general, with my cruise control light on; I have the patch where there's a different map for cruise control, and I have made some stuff work with it.

Today I tried a few things, but no flames -- noticeable reduction in engine braking above 3.5k rpm's or so only with cruise control active.

If somebody would like to share some values, I'd be appreciative -- I tried values from a B25, but it was further than my current setup from my goals. If nobody wants to give values, I'm confused on which values I should even be looking at, since there's a lot of info I've combed through.

My latest flash brings a CEL with a radiator outlet temperature code, so I probably need to reflash regardless, but figured it's noteworthy.

Lastly, I'm pretty sure I need to tweak HYS values, but I don't understand what the HYS function actually is.

I'm hoping somebody can help me out. Thank you.
 
Guys what are your thoughts on using tuner pro vs rom raider?
I think a vast majority of guys in ms43 use tunerpro because there’s more support and applicable information and patchlist. Ms42 has some more romraider users, but some ms42 guys will use both since romraider has logging built in whereas tunerpro rt costs a little extra to get the logging features
 
And how do you guys tune it?

Is it the same for you? Cuz I don't see all the good tunes :) SAP delete, 02 delete, euro tunes etc.

you have the wrong xdf file. go to the ms4x wiki and look under downloads in definition files
 
So... the MS4300069 US E46 M54B25 bin. Why is c_conf_cat=3 by default there? I have that vehicle. It has two pre and two post. Not two and one....?

EDIT: Derp, guess I can't delete. The ms4.net XDF is wrong.
 
Hello,
I have a 2002 E39 530i I'm helping a friend repair. Both coils 5&6 are not providing spark so we are replacing the DME with a known good unit.
Just to verify, I cannot simply install the ECU and align the EWS/DME. I must do a full 512kb flash to get the vehicle to run properly?
 
salut à tous, je vais envoyer mon écu à un ami pour qu'il me le passe au e85, il travail sous winols....ms43 sur 330ci e46, ou pourrais je trouver un truc qu'il aurait qu'à copier, avec les tables vanos, d'allumage, de demarrage ectect deja retouché? quelle version il vaut mieux mettre ms430056 ou 69, ou autre? et pourquoi? merci pour les réponses
 
So for the first time I tried a full read and full write (512k) and applied patches for M3 leds and LC, the leds works just fine, but the LC doesnt seem to work?
Also read that there is some DMEs that behaves weirdly with the LC patch? Is there a way to confirm this or do I just have to live without LC?

What are your configurations for the lc and kinda a dumb question but do you got a manual

I installed my M54B30 this weekend and everything works perfectly (including EWS delete etc.)
I only have one issue:
As soon as the engine is started, the electric coolingfan goes to full power. When the ignition is on, but the engine is not startet yet, the fan is off.
Only disconnecting it solves the problem (for the moment). There are no errors in the DME and the fan was working fine before I switched engines...

Can this be a programming-issue?
 
Yes its a manual (for now at least) and had it at 3000 rpm, PVS at 60 and then default for the two others (think it was -48C coolant temp and 1 for speed?)
If the max coolant temp is set to -48, it means the ignition retard available for lc and ral won’t activate when coolant temps are over -48 degrees. Try bumping the max speed for lc up to 5km/h and for c_conf_lc are you set to 1 or 2?

could theoretically be, but if your tune is unmolested besides just ews, seems unusual. Thought it might be a sensor. Is the dme orignally paired with an auto trans (not that it should matter)? might be a better question to ask to the general fanatics audience, of which more folks have done engine swaps

Thanks, ill double- and tripplecheck everything and if the error still occurs, ill open a new thread :)

Oh didn’t know you were in v56, nevermind what I said about ignition retard then. Yeah just leave the temp thing as is. So by having it set to 1 lc should be activated by the clutch switch. Have you tested it since bumping up the speed to 5?
