I'm about to change the fluids in my E46 but the owners manual gives me the bs "lifetime fulid-no change necessary" instead of the capacities i need.

so the questions is what are the caps again for the two?

I been big Redline fan (used it in my 412awdhp eclipse) so that's what I'm going to go with. MTL for the trans and 75W-90 or Heavy-shockproof for the rear diff :D

Depends on what tranny & diff you have, diffs vary 0.9l to 1.1l and so do trannies 1.0l to 1.3l according to TIS if I recall correctly...

Just did mine yesterday, much smoooooooooooother shifts :D

PS: if you have washers on your diff you need to replace them, and if you have rubber rings, I'd recommend buying new bolts, since as the rings are part of the bolt.

You'll need 2 qt of tranny lube (I use Redline MTL) and 1 qt for the diff. Don't waste a drop of the diff lube as its capacity is right at 1 qt.
