I just picked up an M3 Steering Wheel for my 2001 330i and would like to install it. I've seen a couple of DIY guides and most posts I've read on the subject say its an easy install. However, I am not the most mechanically inclined person and would like to know how easy. I don't want to end up doing a half-assed job and have the airbag not go off when I need. Would you all say its pretty easy for anyone or should I try and get it professional installed?

The only mod I've done so far is installing the clears all around. That was pretty basic so would the wheel be about the same or tougher?

Thanks!

It's pretty easy...the most difficult task is releasing the spring clips if you've never done it before.
I agree. Once you get that off, it's smooth sailing. Just make sure you get all the tools you need and you're set.
