I installed an M3 front sway bar (26mm) into my 2001 330Ci based on forum posts saying it is a direct swap. No, the M3 bar ends are a little longer (extend further towards the rear of the car) which puts the end link ball joint in a very awkward position. To try to remedy this, I will install adjustable end links which can twist/rotate (looking at Godspeed end links). But which size link is correct for my lowered car? Stock, E46 M3, or E36 M3?

EDIT: E46 M3 and non-M are exactly the same. Stock length seems to be the correct size, but I used the Godspeed adjustable links so I could rotate the balljoints to the correct orientations.

From a quick search, it seems most aftermarket end links are compatible between non M and M cars. Also, the Godspeed links have the same min/max lengths so there might not be a difference at all. Perhaps contact them and see.

I installed a 26mm M bar on my non M and modified my Meyle HD links to be adjustable. They work fine.

Edit- After more research, it appears M3 and non-M3 end links are exactly the same. My mistake.

Can you elaborate on the E36 M3 End Links for this application??? Thank you

I put an M3 26mm bar in my 2002 325iT and the e36 M3 links appear to be a bit beefier than stock non-M end links, and a bit shorter, so they fit nicely.

Side Note: I don't know why forums say lowered cars require shorter end links (like E36 M3)... I kept the stock length, but lowered cars should theoretically require longer end links. The middle of the sway bar is fixed to the chassis (with the rubber bushings and metal sleeves), and the ends of the bar connect to the struts. When you have shorter springs, the strut compresses more and is pushed UP higher into the wheel well, further away from the chassis mounting points. This creates a longer distance = longer end links.
