Someone is selling me a German imported (euro spec) 2001 M3, topas blue, black interior, manual, sunroof, 37k miles (60k km) for $33k. It’s all original and been sitting in his garage. He takes it out every once in a while. Is this a good buy?

I would like to hear your guys expert opinions. I am in the USA.

For a 33k car, I suggest to go to a reputable independent BMW shop and pay for a pre-purchase inspection.

It's not possible for anyone to tell you if there are problems with a car remotely over the internet. We can guess, but don't know for sure as we can't touch the car.

For a M3, the first questions to ask is whether the big 3 have been done.

There are several sites that can give a value for a car for your area and should be quite good. If you have the VIN - it will be even better.

The big 3 will take some money - especially if you have a shop do it but preferable - he would do it before selling it. Or he potentially lowers the price for the immediate amount might need to spend.

PPI - well BEFORE thinking about purchasing for that kind of money.
