The rubber strip might be part of the actual trim piece, P/N3? But I couldn't find any photos to verify. Sorry.

I checked, and that strip didn't come with them either. I too would have guessed it might have come with the actual trim piece, but neither one I have did.

 

I am going to order BMW 51138229138 and just see if that's it, or if I can make it work. Will report back for future travelers that come across this thread.

Just wanted to confirm that BMW 51138229138 is indeed the right part number here. Just weird that realoem shows it on the bottom of the trim, at least to my interpretation.

Yeah, realoem.com diagrams are crude at best and cannot be relied on much.

 

I think I know the answer but - are the lower trim pieces available anywhere already painted? Or just primed? Just did the Lightwerkz retrofit and thinking of refreshing everything.

I only ever found them primed, unless you get lucky and find one for sale from a private party somewhere. I got on primed and had it sprayed when I did some other spray work done.
