OK, a few months ago I took my car to the carwash and they conveniently locked the key in the car (long story). Hadda go home and get the spare key... been carrying the wallet one ever since.

OK, yesterday I tried to lock the car and I couldn't do it with the doors open. Either passenger or driver's door in the open position disallows locking. I pressed the remote, tried the center button, and manually pushed the door lock -- nothing worked. How the hell did these guys manage to do this?

The only thing that's changed is that the dealer changed the ECU in my car (apparently it had generated an error code, and he figured it was better to change the whole thing) after that incident and before last night's trial -- I dunno if that has anything to do with it. Any ideas?
