I don't think I could have done it without the ski pass...

 

You can pull out a rear speaker pretty easily and release the emergency release if you don't have the cold weather package.

 

I have done this a couple times, and now I just leave my drivers rear speaker unscrewed. I don't get any vibrations or buzzing without the screws. I need to get another key, but they're so expensive

I had just finished volunteering for a bbq my son's football team was putting on... A whole group of varsity football players, son included, making fun of me! Nice!

 

I'm ordering another key... If this happens on my way to a meeting, it could cost me much more than a backup key.

there is, but the locking mechanisms are deactivated (i.e., you won't be able to unlock - vs. open - your doors from inside).


i've had this happen to me once and did the same thing. good ol' ski pass

 

You can open the door handle on the inside with a hanger... It will unlock!

Yes, there is an electronic trunk release on sedans, but it's deactivated (as was mentioned above)... All part of the security system!

 

Also, if you dont have the cold weather package with the ski-pass through thing, cant you just pop out the rear seats once you get the rear doors open?

 

My 323I doesn't have a ski pass but it has a sheet of metal tack welded into a hole where the ski pass is and you can pop the tack welds with a flat head and hammer

 

i have never understood how people lock their keys in the trunk...i feel like these are the same people that manage to drop a phone in the toilet
