I'm getting smoked corners and want to change my bulb to and amber LED. I was thinking about getting these from Khoalty:

now it says I need resistors to avoid the lights blinking rapidly because the car thinks the bulb is out. I have a BMW scanner and was wondering if I remove the bulb check, would that suffice? Would they work properly without the resistors and with the bulb check disabled?

Is there any downside to not installing resistors?

I never installed resistors

For the first few weeks, at times it would flash faster as if the light was out. Weirdly, it only happened during cold weather. But now, after having em on for almost a year, the last time I remember that happening was back during the Christmas holidays.

Only other 'weird part' is that when you start the car up, the LED's all around flash for a second or two. I guess it's the car's way of checking the electrical system.

Now, I haven't had an issue with them at all.
