I have a 2002 325 ci convertible, and it comes with 225-45-17 tires.
Can anyone tell me if I use larger tires 225-55-17 would I run into problems?
Like tire rubbing against the fender and so on?
Thanks

You can not use that size tire on your car. The aspect ratio is incorrect. As long as your staying with 17" rims, if you increase the first number 225, then you need to decrease the second number, i.e., 225/45 can be changed to 235/40 but not 225/55.

I'm running 235 45 17s on my 2004 325 CiC. The slightly larger tire helps with the existing speedo error, although it is still not perfect. I don't have any problems with rubbing. I also have the sports suspension.

i am running 255/40R17 out back and 235/45R17 in the front on stock 68's. i know there 8.5 wide in back and 7.5 in the front. don't know the offset but have no rubbing issues at all.
