glad to see its working. I've ordered the LED's and chips from digikey, hopefully it'll arrive soon and try this mod by myself.Thank you so so much for the help! It really worked.
(don't forget to save the changes before rewriting the EEPROM😅)

Now I only have to figure out a way to cut the difusor behind the dashboard...
thanks for the tipJust take your time
I used a small soldering tip and small tweezers. Was a bit fiddly but worked on the first try. Just make sure, you dont have any shorts
that's good! keep us updated.Yeah you definitely don’t want to do it like I did. I will order a fresh one from eBay
I have M3 cluster on my car, but its the original m3 one, it act the same like yours. When the engine is cold like I've parked the car for a night then in the morning I turned the car up the LED's is fully turn on like the picture below, but when the engine is on fully working temperature the LED's would go down to 7000 RPM. So I think yours is completely normal.while letting the car warm up, I stumbled apon some strange behaviour:
The LEDs turn off in the order 1 to 5, but the circled LED in the top right corner stays on... Is that supposed to happen?

well, apparently some of us managed to fix the issueDid you managed to fix the Issue with the LEDs ?
one question though, where did you bought your cluster overlay? While operating the regular cluster with the LEDs we notice that they are only properly placed inside the m3 cluster since the segmentation of the rpm is slightly different.
so to do it like 99 percent correctly you would need to solder some wires and then move the leds to the proper position.

wow the reslut came up nicely!I rewired a few of the LEDs so they fit better into their segments and also replaced them with some 450 mcd strong ones since the old ones with 210 mcd weren’t visible during sunshine. They are still not too bright for night rides

I have m3 eeprom I've taken out from my original M3 cluster. Now I'm wondering how to change the Fuel Economy Gauge to Oil Temp just like M3So yeah. You need to move leds to fit it but maybe someone have m3 eeprom to play with it?
wow nice! keep us updated! So im trying to do some update on my cluster. From what i found, procesor in bosch cluster can be different and thats why it cant show oil temp. So i've got idea that i can add my oil temp gauge, my oil temp sender and try to fit it to oryginal cluster. I couple of days i will try to test it. View attachment 962699
