Hi,
I wanted to activate the oiltemp-gauge LEDs in my cluster, so I have to code "KVA_OELTEMP aktiv" in the cluster.
But when I upload a .MAN file containing this, it doesnt do anything.
If I download the codingdata afterwards, its missing again... The cluster is on the last coding standard (0.8) and the option also availiable in NCS dummy...

How can I do this? If you need additional information, let me know ✌

Are you using M3 cluster ? from what i remember you can only use OIL TEMP if you have an M3 Cluster, as the normal cluster dont have the OIL TEMP, instead it has the "ecometer", also have you installed the LEDs on the cluster if you are using the normal cluster ?

I have soldered in the LEDs on a "non-M" cluster. When testing the cluster, they also light up.
I dont really need the Oil-Temp gauge, only the LEDs in the tachometer would be fine.

To activate them, you have to code the "KVA_OELTEMP aktiv" option in the cluster, but it seems to simply ignore that...

Found a bit more of information

To make the warmup lights and shiftlights work, you will have to flash your MS43 with an unlocked software so you can change the code in that.

The MS43 Wiki is the best site to get more information about this. There are also some good youtube videos about how to flash the MS43.
BE CAREFUL and ALWAYS make backups while doing this. Also charge the car battery and the laptop battery. If the process fails you can buy a new MS43.

After the MS43 is unlocked, you can access the MS43 with the MS4X-Flasher and copy the binary data (Full binary 512kb required for LED Mod).

Download the M Cluster LED Mod from the MS43 Wiki.

Open the binary file in TunerPro and also open the LED Mod definition file (Included in the M Cluster LED Mod downloaded).
There will be an entry in the list on the left side of TunerPro which is called "Patch". Apply this to your 512 kb binary by double clicking.
After that you can save the binary and flash it onto your car using the MS4X-Flasher.

Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds and put the ignition on.
Red and yellow leds will allways light up for the 6500 rev limit.
The warmup lights will work with the oil temperature sensor and shiftlights will appear at 6000+ rpm.

I can add pictures and go more into detail. I flashed my MS43 a year ago for the exhaust pop mod.
Last week i added the LED patch and it all worked fine.

For help just contact me :D

Had a similar issue with ASC coding and NCS, ncs profile was corrupt.

without the MS43 Led mod, the leds on the cluster are lit up all the time.

Thanks, I tried that too (I needed the unlocked ECU because of an engine swap anyways) but that didnt change a thing...

Thanks, I'll try a different laptop with a fresh NCS installation (y)(y)

It doesn’t work since the VO on the cluster should be changed to an m3 one, then the chances should be higher.

Otherwise I read the coding from an m3 cluster and this also did not contain the kva_oeltemp…

Maybe in the end it’s also needed to activate the parameters with ncs dummy. I will try it out in the next few days

Did you got any news about this ?
I noticed something strange:
First I read the Coding Data ("CODIERDATEN_LESEN" via NCS-Expert), added "KVA_OELTEMP aktiv" and coded it ("SG_CODIEREN").
When I read the Coding Data again its missing. But when I read the coding-index ("CODIERINDEX_LESEN"), its there and its active. Before adding it, it was also missing in the coding-index...

Am I missing something here?

So based on the video above, apparently after you code the KVA_OELTEMP, the oil warm up lights didn't turned on at once as you need to edit the hex.
