I just swapped out the Hk subs with Kicker 6x9's.

The bass output seems on the low side. If I increase the bass setting on the head unit it helps a little but it also increases the bass in the doors and that causes more rattle and distortion.

The Hk subs are 2 ohm and the Kicker's are 4 ohm.

Do I need to wire the Kickers together in some way to get 2 ohm? If so how?

I know Valerie, on this board, has swapped out her stock HK subs. Try PMing her? :dunno:

Valerie just dropped them right in. Viclee did some crossover thing. Here's his old thread. I'm waiting on my Kickers (should be coming in a few days). Let me know if you find any fix!

they wont' fit in a sedan. the coupes have a different enclosure.
