This LED Turn Signal Kit includes Load Equalizers that will heat up to roughly 200 degrees Farenheit. Consequently, the equalizers have 15" wires on each end, to allow you to run them into a FREE AND CLEAR area in the engine bay. Our instruction guide offers 3 possible solutions for mounting them to a METAL, NON-PAINTED surface, away from plastic or flammable components.
This is just freaky...

- ¨Man, look at my COOOOOL led turn signal !!!¨
- ¨Dude, your car is on FIRE !!!!!¨

I´m just not confident enough in my skills and luck to install and leave a wire that´s gonna get to 200 degrees anywhere in my car.

EDIT: or may be I´m over cautious, it might not be that hot after all...

Have you read the instructions?? They explain how to install everything and where everything goes. I've done it on my brother's 330xi.. wasn't too bad but finding a place to put the equalizers was a PITA. Good luck man!

I have a question about the resistors. I had my bulbs with resistors from Jlevi installed today. We had the lights on and the turn signals on for a while (10 minutes+) and the resistors never felt even warm to the touch. Just curious about this. When would they ever get to 200 degrees?

dude you have two wires going into your parking lights
power and ground

one wire from the resistor taps into the power wire
and the other wire from the resistor gets tapped to the ground wire

and then you are allllllllll done :)

Jason,

I'm not sure if you had the resistors even hooked up before. In any case, they will get very warm after pro longed periods of driving. It is best to keep them away from any plastic or painted parts.

Well, the resistors are definitely hooked up... Whether the wires are tapped properly is another question. Maybe it isn't even going through the resistor, which is probably why I'm still getting a bulb out, and the resistors are cold.

I'm going to have to take it back in and have him ensure they are tapped, and most likely move the resistors to a safer place.
