Ive searched and searched, the best posts with pics are for sedans and there is somethin different with the coupes...but i cant figure out what hell people are talking about with all the little acronyms.

Im going to have a local shop but these in but they quoted me $200 for the install because theyre 6.5's and have to make custom MDF rings at $75 an hour.

If i can get rings that will fit itll only be $80.

Does anyone know how to make them on here or have some laying around maybe from a previous install ?? (Id rather pay one of you guys) or know where to buy a set that will work on the coupe.

Or should i just pay to have it done ?

And the speakers are Diamond Audio D665...anyone know is these are good and can verify they will fit ?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE !

$120 for 2 rings, you're kidding right?

Here you go bro, $10 a pair.

Adapter rings.

Those speakers will fit with the adapters and should sound great.

Once you have the adapters do the job yourself, its very easy and straight forward.

I upgraded the speakers on mine e46 coupe and it was easy. I used this as a Guide.

Here is my install.

Please, please please. Once you get them installed let me know how they sound and what setup you're running. I need to replace my Adire Audio mids, and I need something that's up to the task, since the Adires are no longer in production.

Hey, are these going in the doors or the rear deck? Or both? The speakers in the deck are a no brainer, you'll laugh at how easy it is. There are tweeters in the back seat side trim panels (hmm actually I'm not sure if there are in your car..). They are a little tougher to get to but not bad, just be careful removing the panels and you will be ok. The ones in the door panels are a little more work and its up to you if you are ok dissassembling/reassembling the door panel. Again, not major just take your time and use good directions. Once you've done it once, youll always know whats up.
The D6's you have should be nice and loads better than whats there now. I fired some Diamond Hex S500a's into my doors and they were rediculous! Diamond makes a great component, I think they are underrated. The problem you are going to run into is the factory amp is puny and wont properly power your new speakers at all. So its not going to sound like you want until you rip the amp and supply more power. But just doing speakers will sound better than it is now for sure.

Heres a couple more threads on doing speaker/amp upgrades that might help:
