JOM Coilover Kit vs. FK Streetline Coilover Kit? Which one is better?

I'm planning to upgrade from lowering springs to a coilover kit, but I'm on a budget so I have these two affordable kits in mind that are well known I'm assuming and I wanted to get some opinions.

I'm currently sitting on TEIN Springs w/ OEM Shocks & Struts, but the ride is too rough, (it's another $200+ if I want to invest in performance Shocks/Struts (Koni Yellows)). So I'm thinking to go straight to coilovers.

I know these aren't the best things around but I want the capability to lower and raise my car, as well as have some sort of comfort in the drivers seat.

JOM (ECS Tuning)
JOM (eBay)

eBay has the JOM & FK for an affordable price, so I'm thinking to go that way.
eBay: $465 + $20 Shipping = $490 CAD ($370 USD)
ECSTuning: $531 + $112 Shipping = $643 CAD ($483 USD)

Fk, on the other hand seems slightly more expansive than JOM. I'm heading more towards JOM right now as the price is affordable for me, but if FK has more to provide, I wouldn't mind spending a little bit more.

I'm mainly looking for a lower stance and to improve the car comfort a little bit. My OEM shocks are almost gone so instead of getting new ones, I'd rather just invest in coilovers.

What do y'all think?

I wouldn't call going from lower springs and oem shocks to $500 coils an upgrade.

Upgrading to performance struts and shocks would be a better route if you want to use thebspeings Bur,. OEM sport springs and performance shocks are a good combination. Ride is pretty comfortable and handles well.

But my shocks feel like they're going soon.
That's why. Plus the car is on OEM suspension since day 1, and it's clocked around 170,*** right now.
And I read around that pairing original with lowering springs wouldn't last very long.

So, I thought might as well get a budget coilover kit instead of upgrading the struts and shocks.

I'm sure the original BMW suspension (non-sport & sport) is great, but the car has wear and tear so my current shocks and struts are going, feels like it. Especially with the TEIN springs.

Ya used coils or konis at this point. The konis also come with a lifetime warranty and are adjustable. If you are concerned with ride height, I think you can buy adjustable spring perches for your tein springs so that would put you about fully adjustable with a lifetime shock warranty for a few hundo more than only height adjustable, one year warranty coils. The Fk and JOM coils will rust I am pretty sure due to the metal they're made with and because they're not coated. If it is out of your budget to spend a few hundred more, then I stringly suggest to put away money every paycheque and just wait because the coils will probably ride harsher than a spring and shock.

Awwwhh.
If the ride would improve with performance shocks & struts, I'd look into them. I heard Koni Yellow's are awesome with lowering springs but the price tag is more than the JOM & FK's.
And also, no one is selling any used coilovers or performance suspension parts in my area.
My TEIN drop looks nice, maybe even go a little more low but that would def. ruin my ride.
And honestly, I won't be using the budget coilovers for more than a year max.

Alright, well you have the tein springs to compare to whatever coils you go with, so I urge you to make a post reviewing either the Fk or JOM coils to expand on the body of knowledge surrounding these brands. I've heard good and bad things about them so maybe they won't be all that bad for us budgetboiz. Good luck!

I think I'm going to avoid JOM, I just don't know yet.
eBay shows it was sold to 31 customers. But I was browsing google and came across a thread on another forum and read his nightmare which makes me want avoid the budget coilovers now ):
I think I'm just gonna upgrade to performance shocks/struts :/
I don't want my wheel to fall off if I accidentally hit a bump lol
Probably just gonna wait it out, find a set of performance parts and use them until I can afford proper coilovers!
