Awesome set of diys, but how did you clean the ICV? Just run it under the tap?
Get brake parts cleaner and put the stick in there, spray it up a lot and slosh the fluid inside.

No, it won't work on 99-00 models. Only 01 and up. The earlier ones have to have the pins on the gong connector (where you hook to tune the ECU) under the hood jumpered together.

AWESOME JAKE!!!! :excited:
Thanks! :excited:

wish i knew this before i started. i now have the idle control valve seperated from the engine, but cant remove it. i need to reattach it and would appreciate any advice on doing this with the throttle cable in the way, otherwise i'll need to tow it
The ICV just gets pushed back in. Shouldn't be that difficult.

my button for the oil reset service thing doesnt work lol in general..i think its messed up..any ideas on how to fix it?
Does the button click? If not you might need a new stalk. My gauge needle vid shows how to take it out. Maybe it just needs to be realigned.

Thanks bro!
You're welcome :)

Nice Jake, we should have had a DIY on the Fuel Filter replacement. What a pain in the azz it was but well worth it. My trouble codes were froma clogged filter.
Yea we should have bro, there's always next time and now I have a jack and jack stands. Someone told me that we should have bought new hose clamps, LOL

Jake, nice videos, just wondering, when my car is idling, it'll drop 250-500RPMs and I'll hear a light rattling, I was told the ICV needs to be cleaned, is this true?
Doesn't hurt to do that. You might have a vacuum leak as well.
