I was wondering, instead of buying a new rear bumper for a kit why dont manufactures make a cover add-on the goes over your entire bumper. That could clip into the strip that holds the molding in place and be screwed down from underneath the bumper as well to hold it in place, and wouldnt it be much cheaper to make instead of creating a whole new bumper.

it would probably look stupid plus it would cost about the same as a new bumper anyway.

well, if it's gonna go over the entire bumper anyways, then it might as well be a whole bumper.... why put it on top of the old one when it could already be used as a replacement?
