hmmm... well its the BBS RC wheel for the E46 coupe so im not surer about the offset but im sure its fine.... damn... i hope eddie reads this

235 is fine. i have 235/35/19 in the frnt.. ET is 38. so if ur wheel is a 18x8.5 ET 38 r somewhere around there, ur safe.

Sounds fine. Actually if you stagger, the fitment of a 225/40 is an exact diamter match for the 255/35s. :D

Yes... 225x40x18 is the correct tire size for the front....BUT, on an 8" wheel.......If your wheels are 18x8.5" then you need to use 235x40's..... A 225mm tire is too small for an 8.5" wheel and the rim will stick out past the tire...Sometimes it's really hard to find aftermarket 8x18 wheels.... It seems they are all 8.5" wide...
Also, according to BMW the 225/255 combo is the proper setup for an E46 with stock sport suspension... If the car is lowered, it will depend on the OFFSET of the aftermarket wheels if you need to roll the rear fenders or not with the 255's....Try and get rear wheels with an offst of 44 to 46.....
