the fenders, bumper headlights and hood bolt right up, just have the body shop order the parts for a 2002 and youll be facelifted in no time, dont forget to upgrage the taillights and rear bumper too for the full facelift effect

I'd look into the Mtech II bumper package as well if you're going for the facelift. Might look awkward if the pre-facelift bumpers aren't changed.

Contemplating all this myself. :4ngie:

Here is the link to do it:
http://www.bigpatsfans.com/facelift/facelift.htm

All the part #'s etc are on the PDF there.

And yeah, it looks much better with an M-Tech (Aero) (even an M-Tech I, as the M-Tech I was sold on 328s and 330s with the sports package:

As everyone said it can be done, the best thing for you is it will all be basically free (minus deductible) because the hood, fenders, bumper (and most likely headlights) are the exact same cost from an 01 to an 02 so the insurance company wont know. Just give your autobody shop the part numbers for the 02 not the 01

would it be possible to convert a pre facelift coupe front end?
like put facelift sedan parts on.
besides the fenders, basically everything should bolt right up.

and tolys, if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask me. i'm local and have quite a bit of experience with all things e46. if you want any help installing stuff i'd be glad to help.

p.s. I'd recommend getting an Mtech II or M3 front bumper while you're at it... no point in spending $100 more on a stock bumper when you could have an aftermarket one that looks better.. browse www.euro-spec.net for about ten mins to see what's out there. welcome to the forum

thx man its good to have someone around I appreciate that a lot. Yeah definitely ill check that site out. I was thinking about the Mtech front bumper if I can find it for a good deal. I like m3 bumper too but my cousin has a 330i converted in to M3 (the whole car) he used all the M3's OEM parts it looks good but I dont want to be a copy cat thats why im going with the new front end. yeah if something ill hit you up. For now im just looking for all the parts that i will need.

Hehe, well here's what I'd do if I were you (god i'm so bored)..

Assuming the front bumper, headlights, and hood are all fcked up:

New front bumper:
- Mtech II Bumper (fits both facelift and prefacelift sedans) http://www.euro-spec.net/product_info.php?cPath=3&products_id=45
- Mtech II Bumper - different place http://jlevistreetwerks.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=30_33_58&products_id=416&osCsid=724b3417eff64301800279bd91280dda
- CS Splitters http://www.euro-spec.net/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=57

Headlights:
- Projector46's http://www.umnitza.com/product_info.php?cPath=450_26_90&products_id=208
- Facelift P46's http://www.umnitza.com/product_info.php?cPath=450_26_90&products_id=1099

Hood & Fenders:
- I'd stick with OEM, or
- Carbon fiber, if it's your thing (prefacelift) http://www.euro-spec.net/index.php?cPath=14
