I recently bought an e46 320i and decided to do an valve cover gaskey replacement. (oil was starting to leak out on the manifold). But when i got to removing the coils i realised that i had 4 different kinds of coils on the same engine. Does this matter if the engine runs completely normal?
Avoid Bosch coils, they are literal trash that doesn't work. Just went through the ordeal myself, could've saved a lot of time and hassle by avoiding Bosch.
I agree with 'yes'- and would add that buying a spare
and an inexpensive scanner and putting them in the boot
will save you headaches in the event that one fails.
Takes 3 minutes to change in the local car park, or even at
the side of the road.
