Hello all,

Will the DICE Silverline or USA-Spec integration kit allow me to play pandora through my radio when hooked up or does it only play music through Itunes? I do not want to buy the kit and have it installed only to find out the real reason i want this doesn't work.

Thanks so much

With a 2003+ the best solution is to simply get an OEM Aux adapter. This will allow you to stream Pandora. For the 2002 OP, swapping to an 03or newer radio is plug and play and will give you AUX (and Sirius) inputs.

For about $40 in parts, there is no more reliable way to play music through your iPod and charge your iPod in an e46. The music will be perfectly clear, you can stream Pandora through your car, and your iPhone will never be locked out.

I have my AUX jack wired to the coin tray (the cable is long enough) so they AUX input jack is near the cigarette lighter.

OEM Aux cable $30:

iPhone dock connector with USB (charging) and 3.5mm AUX jack: $5

Griffin USB charger: $11

USA-Spec

I'm not familiar with the Dice, but I ran the USA-Spec for over two years and it was a great piece of equipment. It works on a playlist type of control, but you had the option of making that last playlist (button number six) a direct iPod/iPhone control, meaning that you could control your iPod/iPhone from the iPod/iPhone. You could then stream Pandora, YouTube or anything else that you could access with the phone, or play movie files and have the sound come through the speakers. And since the OEM radio sees it as a "CD Changer", you can still control it completely from the deck, INCLUDING the steering wheel controls. It will also read the info from the iPod and display the text. And the SQ actually seemed to be as good if not slightly better than the CD player, depending on if your iPod files are good files. Lastly, it has an Aux input (left and right RCAs) built right into the module for expansion.
