Intro Forge strength.

Well I just wanted to report my experience with Iforge wheels in NYC streets with my M3. (except for brooklyn)

Config;

19 inch wheels with 245 35 19 and 285 30 19 with S03s
air pressure 47 lbs in the front and 48 in the rear.

They performed very well. Took on the worst bumps i can imagine, but no potholes, i usually evade the holes. Dips and bumps, metal plates, road patches, dips of 1 to 2 inches deep at 30 to 40mph per hour.

Some road bumps at 60 mph...these wheels are f****..strong. The ride is terrible, though. The concrete pavement has the worst feel, Black top, such as the Palisades parkway had the best feel.
Driven on Whitestone Bridge, clearview, LIE, NJ Turnpike, FDR, Throgsneck, Bruckner, Third Ave. Bridge, Queens, Northern, Flushing, ETC..ETC..ETC..

I had my experience with cast alloys, spun cast, gravity casted, etc, and each of them cracked, bent since 1989, from OZ, ACS, Enkei, 5Zigen. I dont care what cast alloy they make out...there, they cant match forged alloys. Cast is Cast...you get what you pay for!!!!

PS, the polished lip is just a pain to maintain and at high speed turns I felt uncomfortable taking on medium size turns at high speed.

Thats my REPORT.

cool man thanx for the info. I am in NY also in queens, I ordered a set of 18's Iforged, should be here in 3 weeks or so. Can't wait and good thing they r strong, our streets suck.
those are aeros right?
does it have the 4" lip?
Excellent report, thanks. I hope my HRE's hold up as well. Yeah, our roads really suck.
Aeros, yes, 4 inch lip, no they are not, thats only for the 20 inch wheels, and I am not going with 20 inchers in NYC. More suspension modifications will kill the ride on these already stiff suspension.
Just dont go to Brooklyn, around brooklyn is one thing, Ocean Pkwy is OK, but overall that is just not the place for BMWs with low profile wheels. Also, BQE.....i consider that a ROAD to DEATH.
ahh i see. so i guess the spokes on the 20s are also a bit wider correct? how thick is yer front lip? would your fornt lip be the same thickness as on the 20s?
can you PLLLLLLLLEASE post some pics of those wheels! I'm this close to ordering polished Aeros

looks very good!! gotta keep dem lips polished... mine are SUPER dirty.. hope it isn't a problem
Any alluminum polish works to clean dirty polished wheels, I was amazed that it works. So if its dirty, get a can of Mothers, Eagle One, or anything for alloy, and some are made especially for BILLET Alluminum. It works wonders, but again, Polished lips are not maintenance free.

I got them from www.wheelsboutique.com or others have ordered it from Wheelsexpert.com, seems like the sales guy at wheelsexpert seems very professional, as well as the Ben from wheelsboutique, although the order was kinda botchy, but overall it came out OK.

BTW, dude..why are you ordering new wheels, when you already have a set of SSR GT3s:dunno:
my gt3s were stolen so i gotta get new shoes.
i thought id go with something different this time around
STOLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...WTF....did you have locks, where did you park in Richmond...in RICHMOND..theres no crime in Richmond VA. all I remember from west virginia was farmers and gorgeous local girls..my god..how cute they are.....

I CANT BELIEVE IT......thats a sin, I WOULD LIKE TO GET MY HANDS on those theives..and stick em with the Rep Guards in Iraq..and shoot them silly.....
So im on the LIE..near the main street exit..and hit a major..bump..and my car rocked, i thought my wheel got it bad, since the air pressure was at 46lbs, the wheel didnt get damaged and the air took most of the pressure...but still...the wheel didnt crack or bend, nor did the S03 binge.......nice combination...im soo FACKING impressed...so far..
If you jam a impac head into a wheel lock, you can easily get around using a key.... personally i look at it like if someone really wanted to jack your wheels... they would do it, and if they can't, they would steal the whole car instead
