At idle, I get a noticeable tick that occurs about every 2-3 seconds. I cant quite tell where its coming from, anybody familiar or ring a bell?

I have the same issue. Seems to only happen when it's a bit cooler outside.

It could be cold related, I noticed it happening again on lunch today, (finally motivated me to post) and its ~55 out.. any info would be great

^Mine's the same way. Once the temp reaches about 60-65 it's completely fine. Do you feel it in the brake pedal as well?

Yup, I can barely feel it in the pedal and the steering wheel. It's really slight though, without the noise i probably wouldn't notice it

It is your lifters ticking. They are hydraulic lifters and in the cold weather, on older engines, they often will tick. Once the engine gets to normal operating tempurature the ticking noise should go away.
