The thin cloth like trim surrounding my windows it starting to peel off. I dont think its because of the sun since my windows are tinted. i tried crazy glue to put it back in place but it leaks through and leaves visible spots. any idea on how to unf*uck this?

Yeah, I have the same problem. Mine are pretty much just flapping in the breeze at this point. I know mine was caused by highway driving with the sunroof and windows open. I would be interested in fixing it at some point though.

Mine is doing the same thing, front and back. It would be interesting what type of glue was used at the factory.

I have the same problem and was thinking of finding a fabric that is very close to the original and using spray adhesive to attach it, or go for a two-tone look and wrap it in suede. The next option is to just replace it. I think they are about $40-50 each part

yeah i tried elmers glue stick and crazy glue, neither of them allow the fabric to stick. and the crazy glue seeps through the material.

My wife says they sell some sort of aerosol adhesive spray at stores like Jo-Ann Fabric that can fix this. Next time she goes in there I'll have her pick up a can and let you know how it comes out with before and after pics.

so far i havnt had these bits peel, but the bits aroudn the windows/doors was. luckily it was backed with rubber so i just superglued it back. Hope mine doesnt start doing this, looks like a DIY gone wrong lol.

All you have to do is use spray adhesive, which is available at all auto parts stores.

My A-pillars are doing that, so I removed the airbag cover and the 3 torx screws underneath, but couldn't figure out how to release the trim from the bottom. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Yes, mine does that too.
I took them out put 3M spray (77) and put it back and looks new again.

Try to order them off the internet first: just use the part number....and go to the dealer to order them for a last resort because I spent like $111.11 for both c-pillar covers and the clips at BMW of Athens!

To take off the c-pillar you just start from the top and you will see the two clips as your pulling it. While your pulling it's going to feel like your about to break something but your not..The clips will just pop right out...its 2 at the top and 1 at the bottom. The reading light just pops out. just make sure you unhook the connector!

3M Spray adhesive. I just sprayed it lightly and stretched the fabric around, held it there for a minute and reinstalled the trim. So far so good a few months later

Mine are bubbling in the rear and the front ones are also starting to peel...anyone know where you can find 3m adhesive spray? never heard of it.

Easiest way to take care of the issue is the 3M spray
