I've been looking around and havent really found any solid DIY's on installing a resistor for interior LED lights. I got a set from Led Automotive and all but one were working, they told me it was because I needed a resistor, so they were kind enough to send me one free of charge, but the problem is i'm not to good with wiring and the diagram they provided me isnt very detailed, so I'm wondering if anyone has a good DIY on installing the resistor, I know it needs a solid metal ground and most people say to do it under the dash on the drivers side. I just dont really know how to go about this process, AND YES I SEARCHED! so please dont say search, I have an idea of how it works, but I am not 100% certain, pics are a plus, thanks for your help in advance.

If you can post the diagram I may be able to make a better version to make it a bit more clear.

Also what LEDs are they and where are they going? Is it an LED strip or surface mount for cluster/window switches etc....
