You would be much better off picking up some low miles used unites than those POS. DP is a horrible brand

I got my ignition coils from a guy called "germanautosupply" on eBay. They had legit Bosch coils for $25/coil shipped - cheapest I found anywhere else was $30/coil + shipping. OEM was more like $40-50/coil (same thing w/ a BMW logo). Been running them for about 1000 miles now with no issues. Car's running better than ever.

I don't know if they had the old-style coils that fit your car though

Yah ebay is great if you find OE equivlent or OE parts, Bosch is OE so thats a great find

I sometimes see people selling a full set of 6 used OEM for pretty cheap.
And you can't complain because you can easily swap them out if they fail.

Used OEM cheap coil

I sold yesterday 6 x OEM, used very good coil. Have 2 coils left ( 8 came from my previous X5).

OEM/Bosch or nothing man. If you can get them for cheap on eBay, then go for it. Otherwise, I'd place my trust on one of this forum's sponsors. A little research can go a long way in finding deals.
