I too like the debadged look, but I like the badged look a bit better. I also see more debadged cars that are not 330's and 335's (for E90s) which I always found strange.

I really wish there was a ZHP badge, I'd love to rock that.

Hell, just the other day I was thinking of getting my license plate to say " E46 ZHP " but I thought it might be tacky.
LOL, I personally think all personized license plates are tacky!

It looks like you're trying to hide something. I don't like it. I proudly flaunt my 330 badge :D
No!

eh easy to spy a 330 for the most part.(un modded) bigger brakes and the chrome rear tips, not to mention the lower models having 16s. keep the 330 i thought of losing mine also, but it just looks to plain back there IMO.
Nice lip!

De-badged my 325 and wouldn't of hesitated if it was a 330i either

I think the M3 badge would be the hard one... but again.. after a few months I probably bring myself to de badging it too.... I like the clean look >

I leave mine on. I don't see a point in removing it. Even if I were to do an S54 swap, I would leave the original badge on the trunk lid and maintain the factory appearance of the car.

I didn't debadge my 330... though I don't really care about the status. It was a ZHP, so it was pretty obvious that it was a 330 regardless of the badge.

I'm thinking about debadging my M3 -- kind of want a cleaner look.

First mod I did to my car was debadging the m3 emblem the PO put on my 330ci. No joke I paid for the car then went over the trunklid and ripped it off

i find it rather ironic that the person with the largest abomination to an original clean BMW 330 with mis-matched vinyl interior A/B/C pillars, a ford mustang style hood, poorly fitted ebay lip spoiler, 18" M3 CHROME wheels with incorrect offset, automatic transmission (which makes it no quicker than a 323 manual) is trying to justify keeping the 330 badge

actually you could take off the BMW Roundel also and put a Ford emblem on and that would suit the integrity of the car in question better.

just like we laugh in the Showroom forum thread of non-BMW owners putting BMW parts like wannabes. makes me wonder if perhaps a Mustang forum somewhere has photos of that mustang hooded bmw of yours laughing at the same :dunno:

to answer your question, the "330" badge is hardly something that makes the car. at this stage in the E46s lifespan it's each individual's car that "makes" the car. with 100,000+ 330s made it's nothing "special" or rare. with the examples on the rouad for well under $7,000 makes it less special.

i've de-badged my 323Ci when it was worth twice than any current 330Ci and even debadged my M3. do it for the look and not for some hope to impress someone with the model number.

This seams more like an ego stroke thread for all the 330 guys. A 330 is no more rare than any other mass produced car. If you decide to take the badge off of a 330 then do it because you want a clean look, dont make a decision based on people not being able to tell that your car is a 330.

Nope, I like people to know they got ate up by a 330:D

This is actually funny. I don't mean to be cruel but anything that a 330 is "eating up" is not that great. The new ford fusion is faster than an e46 330.

Don't get me wrong guys, I love my e46.

Took it off, looks cleaner. If you care that random people know the model of your car on the street than your priorities are all messed up imo.

As mentioned, the ones who know E46s can tell which car is which.

I've thought about putting a 316 badge on mine just to confuse people. Or, if I could figure out some way to remove the roundel (easy part) and neatly put on a Hyundai, Kia or whatever badge I would do it.

I'm just a not a label guy and couldn't care less what's on the back of my car, that's not why I bought it.

I feel like it's easier to debadge a 323, 325, or 328, but harder to debadge a 330. I by no means downplay the other models, but a 330 is like the coolest before you hit the M model (in my opinion at least). So, that being said, I like the debadged look, but feel like a 330 is something to be proud of. How do you feel? (BTW, there are certain individuals who I will state in advance that I couldn't care less where their opinion stands... you know who you are. So please go top off your antifreeze or something). So please participate in this poll and eloborate why you chose what you chose.
Thank You fellow car fanatical nutjobs,

I find it very interesting that you post a question asking for member feedback---and at the same time proceed to insult others by telling them to bug off ("top off your antifreeze"), and put down the people who have 323, 325, 328. That is not typical for normal viewers on this board who are out there to help people, not insult them.
I am glad you like your 330--and hope you continue to. But I would place the M series in a different category than the category 323/ 325/ 328/ 330. I am sure that your bias for the 330 being something to be proud of, and the others 3's not to be, would change instantly if you drove a M series.
If you love your 330 so much why don't you consider getting 10 inch black letters for each of your doors, that indicate it is a 330. The world wants to know what you are driving, and YOU want them to know you have a 330 (not a 323,325,or 328). I love my 328, but would never put down anyone who owns any other model.
