yeah, when i was on the hunt for an E46, i weighed the potential maintenance costs v. benefits of M3 ownership and couldn't justify it at this point in my life.
so i bought a ZHP coupe instead, and haven't regretted it at all. 8/10ths the performance of an M3 with much lower maintenance/insurance. ZHPs are more exclusive and subtle anyway
