At the top of my list I was thinking:

325 to 330 Mass air sensor transplant $300. Benfer or ECIS intake $150-300. Greddy engine management piggy-backwhich has setting for mass air sensor upgrade $325.

These mods combined would yield close to 20HP.

I dunno the research you did on the greddy thing, but computers such as the BMW ECU will often "adapt out" piggyback systems; not sure if it applies to your application.

Also, check your PM!

how bout either just a flywheel itself plus install will be a lil under 1000, will greatly increase ur acceleration

or go with RE power pulleys and gruppeM intake

I'd say a coffee can style exhaust, and those neon washer fluid jets. Heard those increase HP by 20-30. At least on Civics they do.

That also means dismantling and finding someone capable of doing it.

and that is hard on the east coast. Yeah port and polish is an option but if they screw up, your screwed.

here is what he said though

I'll chime in on this since I've tried the unichip on my 330. You can tap into the crank sensor and if tuned properly, the idle is smooth. The problem when I tapped into it was the 4.7K resistor which was indicated but a 5K trimpot was recommended running at 4.21K. After a while, this resulted in a fried crankshaft sensor.
