Huge Difference between 35 and 40 series tires

I'm looking to get 19 M3 rims but was wondering if 35 series tires would make a huge difference in ride quality from my current stock sport package setup w/ 45 series tires.

And how different a 40 series w/ an 18 inch rims would be?:dunno:
