in respect for chris, any nonsense or negative posts will be delteed and banned, no need for anything negative. Please lets understand as an issue of a employee stealing money causing a great company to go out of business is very hard and very shocking even for me. So shocking, Im so sorry to hear this chris B.
I have been working with Chris B. trying to find a solution, but none was found. This is a direct result of more than $200,000 being stolen by a former employee, he was very sneaky in wire and credit card fraud . HPF's insurance only covered $25,000.00, when the HPF lost it's lawsuit today it spelled the end. Dave received 38 months in jail, but the entire community lost out on this. A sad day for the entire community.
It's easy to blame the failure of business on Dave. If HPF was doing well in the first place, 200k wouldn't be enough to put them out of business. Let's not forget the Dave incident happened two years ago.

Yes the theft happened two years ago, but court cases move slow. Had to wait for the conviction first, the credit card companies held off until then. We had the same issue with my business, took 3 years to clear up.
Fair enough. But let's say Chris didn't have a Drag car, a race car and 3-4 more times shop space than anybody really ever would need. There's your 200k+ in the last 2 years that could have saved HPF.

You should stop criticising and commenting like this. Should would.....

Not the correct time to talk negative.

There is a proverb over here: do not hit the one who fell.
I'm not being negative, just simply pointing out that this could have been avoided, even with a 200k theft.

I don't think MaxPSI on its own was the cause. Nor was ProEFI/Saad.. or FSR, etc.. I think its a culmination of a year of everyone waiting for the next big thing.. I think anyone looking to get into the market on a 'purchased new' turbo kit pretty much had the brakes on all last year and beginning of this year waiting for Saad, MaxPSI, FSR, etc.. or even HPF but w/the Infinity instead. Everyone's just waiting.

If I had to guess HPF had a bit of a bell curve on kit sales, first year was decent, second and third year were great, then it tapered off.
Even with taper in kit sales you would think they could still afford to pay rent on parts sales.

I agree.

You can always tell when someone is hating on a product compared to someone who has a legitimate gripe with it.

Suggesting that the fiasco with steedspeed and the cast log manifold was embarrasing.. absolutely.. suggesting the AEM V1 is NOW antiquated.. sure. Was the kit over priced? No.. it was OVER ENGINEERED.. not the same thing. Was the intake manifold garbage.. absolutely not.. JP designed that intake manifold in Solidworks and using thermal dynamics and testing in Solidworks analyzer decided it was the best all around manifold for all stages. Could a different manifold have been designed for different kits wanting different results? Absolutely.. but on the WHOLE we're talking about a kit that is on over 150 cars, probably close to 100 of them making 600rwhp or more and a few people blow engines, a few people have issues, and most of which come right to the forums.. I'd say they did a pretty damn good job making very reliable turbo'd BMW's.

You can go back and read the 55+ page threads on my car and you will never once find me insulting HPF's staff, their kit, or anything along that lines. My problem was always (and I made it clear) that I felt Chris was trying to exploit my situation to shut down ProEFI's attempted entrance into the market. I didn't like that, so I intentionally flipped the script on him.. I'm a stand up guy, I've done as much as I can for local members, and others.. I help where I can .. but if you try to use me, or try to take advantage of me, or other good people... I will stop at no ends to make sure you regret the day you made that decision.
Your situation really showed your character. You are now an honorary Canadian!

Oh and I've got stories about John, Chris K, and Champ/Joey/etc that would ****ing blow your minds.. stories of them offering to help when Chris B tried to screw me over.. some of their offers I just simply had to flat out refuse because I couldn't allow them to do that, it was to generous/etc.

If you think my car made it to mfest and ran a 10.56 in a week all with just Saad and Jason.. you're wrong. ProEFI, Saad AND John/Champ/Chris K all pulled together to make my car get to MFest on time.. I wasn't even friends with John.. I'd never spoken to him.. he called me out of the blue and said I want to help, tell me where to go.. I got this. My car went from parts on the floor to on the dyno in less than 48hrs... John asked that I not give him any credit for it.. NONE.. I think now's a good time that he get that credit..


This is Chris K, Champ and John in Arizona.. on a Saturday in 95 degree heat putting my car together.. I tried to offer them payment, they refused. They flew in, assembled the car, flew out.. less than 24 hours in Arizona. Like a ****ing bad ass traveling hit man.. building bad ass cars. Love those guys!
Those three guys have some serious dedication to cars and their owners. Props to the A-Team of the automotive world!

Mike really. I provide facts, I will remember that next time you are begging for help with your car. You know what. I'm done. I'm completely fvcking done. I will not be mailing another box, package missing part. If your missing your parts, you can thank Mspired, MarcusLSB and Sigma. I'm done trying to help people and then get kicked in the nuts by internet know it all's.
If you really believe in what you are doing, and are truly there to try and help people in their shitty situation you wouldn't being saying this. This just proves you are in it for personal gain for you and whoever else is involved behind closed doors.
