A manual drivetrain loses about 15% and an automatic loses about 20%, so multiply by 0.85 or 0.80 depending on the transmission.
Not Audi Quattro's!!!! According to Audi, their Quattro system is able to deliver 100% of available power to the wheels that have traction.

I personally find this very hard to believe. If its true, Audi has accomplished an engineering miracle!!! A 100% efficient transfer of power to the wheels is amazing!

Audi will probably develop cold fusion and anti-matter soon!

Umm... You're not reading that correctly... They're saying that they can throw available power around the car. They ARE NOT claiming zero drivetrain loss.

Audi's actual claim:

"Taking you from main roads to mountain passes. This is the thinking behind the new Audi allroad quattro. A car that combines the luxury and comfort of main road travel with impressive off-road performance. With quattro permanent 4-wheel drive,100 percent of the engine's power is transmitted to all four wheels in various distribution patterns. Combined with specially developed tyres, under floor protection and strong bumpers, a supreme performance is certain in any terrain."

Audi is full of sh it. I challenge one of their marketing people to go drive arounf in a car for about 2 hours and then prceed to place their hand on the bottom of the transfer case or any part of the drivetrain. If these parts are not warm, then fine.. i was wrong, they have perfected the lossless drivetrain, otherwise, they need to rethink their marketing BS.
