Well, as many of you know, people are going up to HIN this saturday.

I have a long drive ahead of me and how can i protect my bumper from all the rock chips i'm going to get ????? cheapest method ?

1) drive there with the bumper off the car and install it at the show

2) find some low adhesive plastic wrap like those found on the hoods of new cars and have that plastic stuck on your bumper's high and low spots

3) transport the car on a flatbed truck with a car cover on it.

Any more suggestions?

Just throw on your stock bumper ... I wouldn't go for a long drive with no bumper, too much exposure to the elements ...

True. But your bumper is really nothing but a cover for the reinforcements behind it. So it would actually be legal to drive without it on.. but you still would need a licence plate on the front of those bumper reinforcements, just so the Police dont stop you for the hell of it. Just look at all those old hooptie Chevys driving around with no bumper at all!!!

dont drive without, it will look horrible and your gonna do more damage by maybe getting rocks in your radiator...just leave it on..it wont be that bad...

yeah i think he did that before driving to SEMA, since he was sponsored by toyo tires, so won't look too good with tons of rock chips and crap on it :thumbup:

cheapest place is Walmart. all it is is painters tape.

Wow. that looks like complete ass. But I bet it works! It's a low-tack painters masking tape. it comes in 3 & 4 inch wide widths.
