Hello I ran into problem, I have K+DCAN that doesn't have switch on it. ISTA+ gives me error "The vehicle could not be identified successfully. Check vehicle interface and 'PAD actice'."Oh, that is interesting! I'll edit the post for the mean time and ill look into it.
I coildn't find PORT definition in EBIADAS.ini, but I had changed interface definition to "Interface =STD:OBD"Is your port in the EBIDAS.INI set as the same as the hardware?
Yeah, I just checked my windows I didn't find OBD.ini under windows folder, or in ISTA installation folder. I did search the whole C drive, not found. I'm waiting for @tbouchard991 for his next advice.haha i think i am right behind you in getting this configured. Got ISTA installed and my K+DCAN arrived today. Mine has the switch. But not connecting to the car. same error message as you. Just saw your previous post so went in an edited the EBIADAS.ini to STD:OBD but i can't find any OBD.ini file. Did search of entire drive. My USB port is COM3 for the cable. And don't see anything in ISTA to manage that configuration. Hoping TBOUCHARD can guide us to the light!
Wait... So i need to install INPA alongside ISTA+?Oh Goodness! My apologies ya'll.
@phlynch, @vaah
OBD.ini is located in C:\EDIABAS\Bin (If its not there, I'd make sure INPA is installed)
Looks something like this ->

This is what is in the obd.ini,
As stated above, make sure your
PORT=Com1 (This is what mine is set too, but you can set it to whatever number you would like, but make sure this matches your cable settings in the device manager)
Hardware=OBD (Has to be set to this)

I have INPA installed on my old laptop that runs win7. I installed PA soft there too and a bunch other software that doesn't require win10. So I didn't think I'd need to install INPA on separate machine that I installed win10 to exclusively run ISTA+. hahahaI haven't tested if it works without INPA, truthfully. Its a super simple install, and worth it tbh to have it with ISTA.
As for cable
-> 2/2007 and older vehicles requires the pin 7 and 8 to be bridged to work and 3/2007 and later requires pin 7 and 8 to be separate.
So yes! Both pin 7&8 need to be bridged.
What a surprise!! I'll give it a try. I'm downloading it now. Thank you for the effort!@vaah
Great News! I have found an earlier version 4.01 (Which is compatible with Windows 7).
I learned that versions 4.21 and above is only compatible with Windows 10.
I'll be making some new install instructions for Version 4.01, and readding v4.32 soon as-well.
I apologize for all the frustration, I know its a PITA getting a version to work.
