Hey, I heard that e46 had 4 lambdas so I was looking for them and found two on the exhaust cat. I couldn't really find nothing else.

Your 4 cylinder engine has one pre-cat O2 sensor and one post-cat O2 sensor.

I'm seeing a lot of corrosion that may prohibit that O2 Sensor from being removed and I'm also seeing a crack as well.

Crack on the O2? That could explain the 6 mpg

Oh wow, never noticed that, should I get this welded asap? Could this be the thing causing the mpg? I will check for more in the morning.

Well, it shouldn't be cracked so having it fixed is a good idea. Is it the cause of the smoke? I can't say but if the smoke smells like burning coolant, you could have a bad head gasket.

I'm currently waiting for kdcan cable so I can read the codes, but it is not thick fog smoke. Also could you help me identify what the previous owner tried on this?

Unplug the precat O2 and see how the car runs. I would, a crack near the O2 sensor is likely tricking the car into thinking it's running lean, so it'll keep increasing the fuel injection
