Below is a screenshot. I cannot find any thread on how to take this damn thing out and replace it. I have the new one just don’t know how to take it out.

I have done it, you have to take off the clip as on your picture. And circle spring retainer and slide out the metal pin ( installed in shifter joint).

I saw that video but he does not show how to take it out. He skips it. Seeing if anyone has actually done it and what the best way to take it out is cause I do not want to be laying underneath my car scrolling through my iPhone contemplating life.

Slide the u-clip down. You will have to overcome the spring force on it. Then use a screwdriver or pick to pry the circlip locking ring off.

Yes, get a screwdriver in there or something and just pull down. It's not held in by a ton of force. You're probably overthinking it, but it comes out quite easily. I was able to get mine out just by reaching my hand up there and pulling it down with my fingers.

Under the lock ring there is a pin situated vertically. The purpose of the ring is to hold it in. It might not just fall out, so you may need to push down on top of it. You won't be able to see the pin until it's out.

I did this yesterday. My question is whether to lube the foam in the replacement shift rod joint (and how the hell I'm going to get that pin back in!)
