Hi guys

My name is David and I am new to this forum. I do live in Switzerland, a tiny country between Italy (great food and wine) and Germany (beer and Autobahn).

I've owned quite a few BMWs by now:

It started with a E24 635CSi, then a E24/1 Alpina B9 3.5 and E30 325i Convertible.
After that, I proceeded to a E36/8 M Coupé S50 which I traded in for the newer E36/8 M Coupé S54.

Right now, I do have a E46 Alpina B3 3.3 touring Allrad (permanent 4WD) with a 5speed automatic tranny (Switchtronic - it's a steptronic activated by controls in the steering wheel). In winter, it's just great!

And what's so special about Alpinas?
They don't look too fancy to everyday people. The performance can be compared to M3, though. A real stealth bahn burner.
I once made a >600 miles trip on the Autobahn in one day, no sweat. And you can be sure, I really did put the hammer down!

Here's a few pictures:

Hej hej!

Nice car you've got there, too.
I once tried a E46 M3 CSL - that was an awesome experience. I especially loved the automatic double clutching while downshifting - with the matching roars!

I forgot one car:
'02 E46 325ti Compact
Our Golden Retriever didn't fit into that one (the dog came after the car), so I traded the compact for the touring.

welcome
nice collection of bimmers you had :)
Thanx. Actually, it wasn't a collection.
I've just owned a couple of them by now. I had my first car only when I was 26, and that's been some 20 years by now.
Life ends too lethal to drive boring cars :4ngie:
