I was told that the 323 has smaller diameter pipe then the 328. Correct me if I am wrong. I thought the 323 and 328 share the same exhaust system.

Yes, the exhausts from sedans and coupes are the same. 323/328 are the same and 325/330 are the same.

so the coupe and sedan are the same right. A guy at bavaria told me I will need a adapter because the 323 has a sameller diameter. is that true.
