Hi guys i have a bmw 320i 2003 sedan Us,
so i got my diff oil changed today and when he removed the plug a presure has built up in the diff i was told by my mechanic to buy a "vent".
after calling bmw and local auto part they only seem to have to cover for like 3 bills... not sure how to proceed im guessing if its a vent that blocked it could be cleaned somehow looked for pictures without success... Please let me know if anyone already experience this before Thank you in advance.(first thread btw lol)

The vent he is talking about is likely the weep hole on top.

I don't think you can change it. I'd see if it can be cleaned. Remember, the diff doesn't build up pressure.
