Please Help!!! I'm trying to install my uuc pullies, but can't get the fan shield out!!! It seems like it is stuck on something!!! Please get back to me ASAP! Thanks!!!

I think it is stuck on the fan. Am i supposed to remove it first?

I have a 2003 330i with step and the fan shield goes all the way around the bottom of the fan. How am I supposed to get it out when it is catching on the fan?

take the fan off, it uses a 32mm wrench and has left-hand threads, torque to put it back on:
clutch nut to coolant pump (left hand threads) 40nm (29ft-lb)
fan to viscous clutch 10nm (89in-lb)
