Okay so I recently purchased the WeissLicht LED License Plate Illumination Upgrade Kit from bimmian.com and I thought all would run well with installation and fitment judging from the install video....
Well you can guess what happened with that! :excited::excited:
So my main problem here is that the left light fit perfect and the right will not seem to pop in...
I can get the left side of the right light in, but the side with the prong that helps hold it in, will just seem to not squeeze in... It continually pops out and makes a noise when being pushed in like there's almost too much pressure. I'll post some pics and it would be really appreciated if you could help me figure out why the right light just doesn't pop in like the left light housing/bulbs.... :banghead:
Few pictures, they're too big on here and I'm too lazy to re-size;
Photos of Light's
Any help would be appreciated. I'm willing to do anything to make the right fit other than break anything that isn't supposed to be broke on the actual car.
Thanks again guys!:thanks:
EDIT: I guess the only reason I was having huge problems with the right one was because I removed the sticker that directed me which way I should put it in, and I flopped the actual lighting inside of it and the actual thing one too many times and got a little lost... Took some fidgeting but I got it in there.
BUT, after that the right one was too bright and would literally start smoking, LOL.... :banghead: after some work(reading the box... I really don't have common sense I guess) I got it to become the proper amount of lighting.
Quick opinion/review on these lights...
IF you're looking for LED License Plate Illumination lights, either buy a bulb and continue using the OEM housing, or look for something other than the WeissLicht ones, unless you like messing with something that is "Plug and play" for a few hours...
