I just change my wheels when I notice my rear driver side shock has cracks on the plastic part. It's quite long I guess.
I have a 330ci if that matters
DO anyone knows why? and is there any danger with cracks shock? Help please anyone...

did you bottom out recently? or did you hit a bump or phat pothole at high speeds? it could just be bad luck that you have a defective part. hope your car is under warranty, but if it isnt, now is a good time to upgrade to come coilovers.

Anything plastic on the rear shock is probably dust boot related and not structural.
