Hey

I looked online to find out where the oil filter was for my 99 bmw 323i... I found out it was accessible from the top of the engine not the bottom....

Right now I have my car jacked up on stands... I pulled off the plastic covering from under the motor... Im looking for the oilpan to drain out the oil... but i cant find the freaking oilpan!

Can someone please tell me where the oil pan is located? I saw the DIY oil change on my330i.com but thats for a 330 which is different from my 323i.

What is your oil capacity?

Mind if I ask how much oil you had to put into the car to fill it up to the dipstick mark? Reason for asking is because I have the same car, but only 4 Liters came out, and (obviously) I could only fill it back with 4 Liters. The DIY's all seem to indicate I should have closer to 6L, but those are M3's and 330's. :dunno:
