Anybody know if it is alright to put snow cables or chains on my 17 inch type 68 rims for a trip up to the mountains? Also, will the drive be hard on my paint/clearcoat, as snow/rocks splatter on my car? Thanks.

Snow cables may blemish your wheels. Keep a considerable distance from cars in front of you to prevent road debris touching your car.

lol big bear?? you dont neeed freakin chains in big bear i saw motorcycles and droptops .....trust me the roads are safe enough :thumbup:

It's gonna be tricky for you, because you have performance tires that suck in snow. You can only have the chains on when there is enough snow, or else you''ll damage your tire/car and/or roads.

Get a friend to drive.
